**COVID-19 UPDATE AS OF 17TH MARCH 2020**

Following the latest government guidance about the next phase of measures to be taken in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, we are no longer to meet in person for worship and other activites. We want to let you know what this will mean for our church community over the next few months.

Sunday and midweek gatherings will stop until further notice. This includes Life Groups, prayer meetings, the worship night, the Baby & Toddler Group and the women’s fellowship.

Instead we are going to:
- post weekly sermons on our YouTube channel and via podcast and on Phil’s blog;
- hold interactive Life Groups electronically through the internet; and
- continue to distribute daily Bible readings and prayers via WhatsApp and Phil’s blog.

More details of how this will all work will follow.

Please follow us on Facebook or Twitter for regular updates.

Please be assured of our love and prayers for all of you.  In the meantime please feel free to contact us via phone on 01932 701139 or email phil@hershambaptist.org.uk / heather@hershambaptist.org.uk if you need any practical or spiritual support.

Normally this is how our services work....

We meet every Sunday morning from 10am for coffee and pastries before we come together to worship.  This is a chance to catch up with old friends and make new ones.  Our service begins formally at 10.30am and lasts until about 12pm.

Sundays are the time when we gather together to worship and pray, to learn from God’s word, and to respond to his Spirit.  Everyone is welcome and there are a number of groups for children to help them grow in faith and have fun together.

We worship together during the first part of the service for about 20 minutes.  We are a family friendly church, with contemporary worship and we understand that children don't always sit still, so please don't worry if they move around!  After this the children go out to their own groups which cater for children from 0-16 years.  See our Children on Sundays page for more information.
