Social Action

"Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon." (Isaiah 58:10)
We believe that as followers of Jesus we should show God's love by caring for the world and for the people around us.  That is why we support a number of local, national and international charities.
We run the CAP Money Course from time to time.  It's a free course that teaches you budgeting skills and a simple, cash-based system that works. Whether you feel pretty organised or whether it's like a lucky dip every time you try to withdraw cash from your account, the CAP Money Course will help you take complete control of your finances.

Take a look at this video clip to find out more and contact Phil to find out when the next course is running.
Social Action Projects
Last Christmas two of our church members organised collections to support social action projects at home and abroad.  We collected 130 pairs of children's shoes for refugees in Greece for the charity Carry the Future UK and 700 toys for families in Elmbridge who couldn't afford to buy Christmas presents for their children.  Watch this space for our latest projects.
Charities and Missionaries we support regularly
Every Autumn we collect supplies for the Walton and Hersham Foodbank as they seek to provide a minimum of three days emergency food and support to people experiencing crisis in the UK.  This years harvest collection has now finished.
Each year in the run up to Christmas we make up shoeboxes of gifts for Operation Christmas Child - the project to send gifts to children who wouldn't otherwise get any presents through the charity Samaritans Purse.
As part of the Baptist Union of Great Britain we support Home Mission and BMS World Mission as they help churches and individuals to bring the love of God to communities far and wide.
We also support a number of missionaries working for overseas charities.  For more information on these please click on the links below.
